Your files stay on your device
The free tools (video, audio, image, subtitles, recording, the video editor) run inside your web browser. Your files are read and processed by your own computer or phone, and the finished file is created there too. They are not uploaded to our servers. AI models used by the free tools (speech recognition, background removal) are downloaded to your browser and run there.
What your browser stores
- Downloaded AI models and fonts, cached so they don't download again.
- Video editor projects and their media, if you use the editor (so you can continue later). Clearing this site's data removes them.
- Finished exports, briefly, in the browser's private storage; they are deleted automatically after a few hours.
None of this is sent to us.
Accounts (when they launch)
If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and profile picture from Google, and store them with your account id. We set one sign-in cookie (secure, not readable by scripts). We do not get your Google password and we don't access anything else in your Google account.
Payments (when they launch)
Payments are handled by Dodo Payments, our merchant of record. They process your card or payment details; we never see or store card numbers. We receive what we need to give you access: which plan or credits you bought, its status and dates, and the email used.
Cloud and AI features (when they launch)
Features that store or process files on a server, such as cloud projects or paid AI generation, will always be clearly labeled before you use them. Files used with them are processed only to provide the feature, kept only as long as needed (or until you delete them), and never used to train AI models.
Hosting and logs
The website is served by a content delivery network, which, like any web host, processes standard technical data such as your IP address and browser type to deliver pages and protect against abuse. This never includes the files you edit.
Your choices and rights
- Use the free tools without an account: we then hold no personal data about you.
- Ask for a copy of your account data, or for your account and its data to be deleted, at [support@your-domain].
- Depending on where you live (for example the EU, UK, India or California) you may have further rights; contact us to use them.
We don't sell personal data and don't use advertising trackers.
