Is my video uploaded?
No. The crop is performed by your browser using your device's video encoder. Your file never leaves your device.
Why are the dimensions always even numbers?
Most video formats store color at half resolution, so encoders require even widths and heights. VideoTouro rounds your crop to the nearest even pixel automatically.
Does cropping lower the quality?
Cropping requires re-encoding the video. We encode at high quality, so the result looks very close to the original. The output resolution is the size of your crop box.
Can I crop a vertical phone video?
Yes. Rotated phone videos are shown upright, and the crop applies to the video as you see it.
Which browsers can crop video?
Cropping uses WebCodecs, available in recent Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari (16.4+). If your browser doesn't support it, the tool will tell you before you start.
