How do automatic subtitles work here?
An AI speech model (Whisper) runs inside your browser. It listens to your video and writes captions with a start and end time for every word. Your video is never uploaded.
Which languages are supported?
Around 40, including English, Spanish, Hindi, Tamil, Bengali, Arabic and Japanese. Hindi, Telugu, Kannada and Gujarati switch to models trained on those languages for much better accuracy.
Can I fix mistakes?
Yes. Click any word to change it; its timing stays. You can also split or merge lines, find and replace, and shift the timing.
Is it free? Is there a watermark?
Auto Subtitles is free with no signup. Free subtitle videos include a small VideoTouro watermark; subtitle files (SRT, VTT, TXT) never have one. The other free tools add no watermark.
Can I use the subtitles on YouTube or Instagram?
Yes. Download an SRT or VTT file for YouTube and other players, or burn the captions into the video for Instagram, TikTok and Shorts.
Do I need a powerful computer?
No. A recent laptop or phone works. The model downloads once (about 40–180 MB) and is cached. With a modern graphics chip, a minute of speech takes seconds.
