Frequently asked questions

Is my video uploaded?

No. Everything happens in your browser using your own device. Your video never leaves your computer or phone.

Will rotating reduce quality?

The video is re-encoded at high quality so the rotation works in every app. The difference from the original is very hard to see.

Why "baked in" rotation?

Some apps ignore the rotation flag stored in video files. Rotating the actual pixels makes sure it looks right everywhere.

What happens to the resolution?

A 90° rotation swaps width and height: 1920 × 1080 becomes 1080 × 1920.

Which browsers are supported?

Recent Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari (16.4+). The tool uses WebCodecs, your browser's built-in video encoder, and tells you before you start if something isn't supported.
