Frequently asked questions

Is my video or audio uploaded?

No. Speech recognition and every edit run in your browser on your own device. Nothing is sent to a server.

How do I know which fix I need?

If every line is off by the same amount, use Shift. If they are fine at the start but wrong at the end, use two-point sync or frame-rate conversion.

Can I shift only part of the subtitles?

This tool shifts all lines. Use the Subtitle Editor to change single lines.

Is anything uploaded?

No. The file is read and changed in your browser.
