How to speed up a video (or slow it down)

Speed changes are rendered frame by frame on your device, so the result plays smoothly everywhere.

Step by step

Open the speed changer
Choose your video.

Pick a speed
Choose 2× or 4× to speed up, 0.5× for slow motion, or Custom for any value from 0.1× to 16×.

Choose the sound
"Change speed too" keeps the audio at the new speed; "Remove sound" drops it (common for timelapses).

Export
Press the change speed button and download the result.

To keep a voice natural at a different speed, use the audio speed changer, which can keep the pitch.

Slowing down repeats frames, so very slow speeds look steppy unless the video was filmed at a high frame rate.
